A partner of IVF Michigan, Dr. Shamma has over 300 lectures on obstetrics, gynecology, reproductive endocrinology, and infertility to his credit. He is a recipient of the Sergey Polivanov Memorial Scholarship from Catholic University, and the Andrew Friedman OB/GYN Award from Yale University.
Dr. Shamma received his medical degree with High Distinction from the American University of Beirut graduating first in his class. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Yale-New Haven Medical Center, where he was the Chief Resident in his final year. Following his residency he was a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellow in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Shamma is board certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He is also a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In addition to his role at IVF Michigan, he holds the following appointments:
Assistant Professor, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Saginaw Campus, Saginaw, Michigan.
Associate Director, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Saginaw Cooperative Hospitals, Inc., Saginaw, Michigan.
Dr. Shamma has published over 25 journal articles, and 25 scientific abstracts. He is also the editor of Ovulation Induction, published in July 2000 by the Infertility and Reproductive Medicine Clinics of North America.
